BenchRecall Public Beta Terms of Use

Effective date: July 28, 2026Last updated: July 28, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the BenchRecall public website or application, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Public Beta Status

BenchRecall is beta software. Features may change, break, be removed, or be temporarily unavailable. Feedback is welcome and helps improve the service.

Public beta access is not a promise of permanent free access or permanent availability.

3. Local Data and Backups

Most hobby records are saved in your browser. BenchRecall does not currently provide automatic cross-device synchronization.

You are responsible for exporting backups of records you care about. Clearing browser data or changing devices without a backup can cause data loss. BenchRecall cannot guarantee recovery of locally stored records.

4. Supply Scan

Supply Scan results are best-effort suggestions. You must review and correct the draft before saving it.

BenchRecall does not guarantee product identification, color matching, barcode accuracy, category accuracy, or the availability of cloud analysis. Do not rely on the scanner for safety-critical, medical, financial, or hazardous-material decisions.

5. User Content and Ownership

You retain ownership of your private project records, notes, photos, paint recipes, and supply information. You are responsible for content you enter or upload and should only upload content you have the right to use.

BenchRecall may use feedback you choose to submit to improve the service. Providing feedback does not transfer ownership of your private hobby records.

6. Acceptable Use

Please use BenchRecall responsibly. You may not:

  • Attack, disrupt, or interfere with the service
  • Attempt to access API keys or private infrastructure
  • Send abusive automated requests or evade rate limits
  • Upload unlawful or malicious content
  • Use the service to violate another person’s rights

7. Third-Party Services

BenchRecall relies on third-party hosting, cloud analysis, email, and related service providers. Their availability, performance, and policies may affect the service.

8. No Manufacturer or Publisher Affiliation

BenchRecall is an independent hobby-tracking product. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by miniature manufacturers, game publishers, or fictional-universe rights holders.

9. Disclaimers

BenchRecall is provided on an “as available” and public-beta basis. Features and results may not always work as expected.

You should independently verify important information, maintain current backups, and review scanner suggestions before relying on or saving them.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, BenchRecall and its operator are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the beta service, loss of locally stored records, interrupted availability, or reliance on unverified scanner suggestions.

These terms do not waive rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.

11. Changes and Termination

BenchRecall may change features or access as the service develops. Misuse of the service may result in restricted access. These terms may also be updated, with the “Last updated” date revised when changes are made.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Washington State, United States, without overriding consumer protections or other rights that apply under law.
